Webforms allow you to embed forms and surveys on your website. Because Drupal webforms are complex to set up and manage, it is recommended that you use Google Forms or Dynamics Forms instead of Drupal webforms whenever possible.

Instructions

Embedding Google Forms

Google Forms are easy to create and manage. They are recommended as your first option for simple forms where you are not collecting personally identifiable information (PII).

Info

When adding questions, be sure to avoid including any that could include PII (i.e., any data that could potentially be used to identify a particular person).

  • At the top right, click Send

  • At the top of the window, click Embed

  • To copy the HTML that appears, click Copy

  • Paste the HTML into the Body of a content type or block; under the Text format drop-down, select Rich Media HTML, and click Save

Linking to Dynamic Forms

Dynamic Forms is another tool available at Maricopa Community Colleges for building forms. They are recommended for more important forms – like Financial Aid forms. You can also set-up complex workflows and other behind-the-scenes configuration using Dynamic Forms.

Many colleges are already using Dynamic Forms. If your college is new to Dynamic Forms, contact Britney Corbitt for support in getting started.

 Creating a Drupal Webform

If you have a situation where you believe Google Forms or Dynamic Forms will not meet your needs, please contact the District Web Team via Slack or ITS.Drupal.Team@domail.maricopa.edu to discuss.

Info

No personally identifiable information (PII) should ever be collected with a Drupal webform. This information would be stored in Drupal, and anyone with access to your site would have access to it.
