There are a couple of ways to upload documents to your site.

From the Management Toolbar, click on Content.
Hover over Add Content and select Document.
Fill out the appropriate fields in the Document form and at the bottom, click Save.

From the Management Toolbar, click on Content.
Go to Files and you will see a list of all uploaded files.
