This guide contains step-by-step instructions on using the Webform content type used for attaching a form to a basic page.

Create a Basic Page with a Web Form

  • Navigate to Content > Add Content > Webform

  • Fill out the relevant fields

  • The Webform dropdown fields are the options for which form you would like to add to the page. Select the one for your needs.

  • The Webform Settings section allow you to open, close, or pick a schedule for the form. Scheduled allows you to choose an open and close window.

Saving the Page

  • On the right sidebar, enter a relevant message in Revision log message

  • Make sure Publishing Status is checked at the bottom of the form if you are ready to publish the new content.

  • Click Save.

Checking Form Results

  • Navigate to the Content screen and on the Content Type dropdown select Webform and then click Filter.

  • Select the title of the webform you wish to view the results for and navigate to the Results tab as shown below.

Note

Having lots of webform submissions living in Drupal can slow down your website. We recommend archiving submissions over a year old. If you have hundreds of submissions each year, we recommend archiving more frequently so that you only have 50-100 submissions in your website at a time.

To archive old submissions, select the Download sub tab.

Once you have downloaded a copy of the submissions, click the Clear sub tab and delete all submissions to date. If you prefer to delete submissions one-by-one, click the Submissions sub tab.
