The Common Framework (CFW) is a set of functionalities and styling built using Drupal to allow the implementation of websites across the Maricopa environments that share these elements.  The most common usage is implement websites with shared elements across Maricopa environments. It's primarily used for the nine college websites and www.maricopa.edu.   This approach enables a central core team to support the framework for security, bug fixes, and feature enhancements. 

The CFW is a collection of features, functionalityfunctionalities, styling, and layouts that help build unique individual websites that adhere adhering to the Maricopa branding standards and provide standardization in layout standards. By standardizing Standardizing website navigation, search, menus, programs, degrees, and certifications , enhances the user experience is enhanced and aids in familiarity with the sitesites. The CFW includes the Bootstrap library Library and provides automatic responsiveness on different-sized devices, ADA Section 508 compliance, and a friendly user interface for website viewers and editors and marketersalike.

Version 3 of our framework represents a significant upgrade, transitioning . It transitions to the latest Drupal version (D10) and incorporating incorporates the newest Bootstrap Library (5.2). This release not only aims to enhance the tool's features but also to excite our users with the incorporation of valuable feedback from our existing user baseenhances CFW’s features and provides help links and examples in the editing interface.

The Departmental Framework (DFW) is an extension of the CFW, tailored for specialized websites. It removes student-specific features while adding more advanced functionalities, including Azure authentication for all users, enabling access to private content on intranets or marketing sites for Maricopa (or college-specific) users, specialized search capabilities for private content not indexed by Google, custom content types for crime logs, use-it-or-lose-it reports, procurement contracts, blogs. The DFW allows for customized configuration while benefiting from feature updates developed for the CFW.
