From top to bottom, the first element on the homepage is the Frontpage feature. This is the carousel that runs in the home page banner.The boxes of content that appear under the top banner on your homepage are called Frontpage Promos. Similar to the Frontpage Features, the promos include an image, title, and blurb, but everything appears much smaller on the page.

Instructions

  • Go to Content > Create content > Frontpage Promo

  • Add a Title

  • Add a Teaser

The image size must be 200px x 100px. The size can be no larger than 256 mb and must be in .png, .gif, .jpg, or .jpeg format.

  • You must provide Alternative text for your image

  • Add your URL

The URL can be internal or external, depending on what is needed, but there should only be one link listed per promo. An example of an external link would be using Find a Class when you promote registration for an upcoming term.

  • Set the Display Date, which controls when the feature promo will display on the homepage

If you would like the promo to appear indefinitely, set the second date to well into the future. Otherwise, you can set the end date as needed and the promo will no longer appear on the homepage after that date.
