The WYSIWYG in the Common Framework does not offer the ability to add files. However, sometimes you might need to link to a file in a page’s body field. This is where the File content type can assist you.

Instructions
Go to Content >Create > Create Content > File
Give your file a Title
Select Browse or Choose File and locate your file on your computer

Only files with the following extensions are allowed: pdf, doc, docs, xls, xlms. |
Click Upload
If necessary, provide a Description of your file
Click Save
To get the info

Once uploaded, you will see your file as a Drupal content type. To get the URL path, right click the file and select Copy Link Location (Firefox) or Copy Link Address (Chrome).

Go to Content > Files
Find your recently uploaded file and copy the Embed Link
Select Edit on the page where you would like the file to appear and, in the Body field, paste the embed code.
Click Save
