The Common Framework (CFW) is a set of common functionalities and styling build built using Drupal to allow the implementation of websites across the Maricopa environment that share these elements. The most common usage is implement websites with shared elements across Maricopa environments. It's primarily used for the nine college websites (next version will be all 10 colleges). The Departmental Framework (DFW) is an extension of the CFW, tailored for specialized websites. It removes student-specific features while adding more advanced functionalities, including Azure authentication for all users, enabling access to private content on intranets or marketing sites for Maricopa (or college-specific) users, specialized search capabilities for private content not indexed by Google, custom content types for crime logs, use-it-or-lose-it reports, procurement contracts, blogs. The DFW allows for customized configuration while benefiting from feature updates developed for the CFW.
