Version 2.3 - New "Look and Feel" (Released October 25, 2019)

All

A new look and feel is now available on the Common Framework! Inspired by the Phoenix College website redesign in Summer 2018, the new look and feel is more modern and easier to use. It also gives college websites a more consistent look and feel, strengthening MCCCD’s brand.

This release is a theme update to align the Common Framework with the marketing style guide for header/footer/body/menus/blocks.   Most content types have also been themed to reflect the style guide.

The major components of the new look and feel are:

  • A new out-of-the-box homepage design with many options to customize (see Version 2.2 for more details)

  • A new content type (landing page) with many options to customize (see Version 2.2 for more details)

  • A new header and footer that are full-width across the page

  • A mega menu for improved site navigation

  • More spacing between elements throughout the site

  • Page elements are a percentage of the screen, creating a “fluid” experience when a user adjusts their browser window size
