Header: Quicklinks

In CFW3 you can add a custom Dropdown Menu called Header quicklinks. If links exist, this menu will be built into the main menu, on the far right hand side. Below is how you can configure this menu.

Create a Quicklinks Menu

To add a Quicklinks menu, complete the following steps:

  • In the admin menu, click Structure > Menus > Add menu

  • Under Title type Header quicklinks, then click Edit next to that and make sure the Machine name is header-quicklinks

  • Provide a Administrative Summary, for example “Quicklinks menu for website header style“

  • Click Save

Creating Quicklinks

To add a menu item to your quicklinks, complete the following steps:

  • In the admin menu, click Structure > Menus > Header quicklinks

  • Select Add Link

  • Provide a Menu Link Title

The Title you provide here will display in the quicklinks menu as-is.

  • In the Link field, enter the URL for the page you want to link

If linking internally to your college’s Drupal site, the path should be url/child-page/etc (do not include https://drupal.maricopa.edu/ , for example).

  • If you need the link to open in a new window, expand the Attributes accordion and set the Target to New window (_blank)

  • [Optional] In the Description field, enter a description that tells where the link goes. This is the text that appears when visitors place the cursor over the link

  • Click Save

  • In the Header quicklinks list of links, reorder your link using

  • Click Save again once reordered
