From top to bottom, the first element on the homepage is the Frontpage feature. This is the carousel that runs in the home page banner.

Instructions

  • Go to Content > Create content > Frontpage Promo

  • Add a Title

  • Add a Teaser

The title can be a word or short phrase. The teaser is limited to 255 characters, so you will need to keep the blurb brief.

  • Upload an Image

The image size must be 200px x 100px. The size can be no larger than 256 mb and must be in .png, .gif, .jpg, or .jpeg format.

  • Add your URL

The URL can be internal or external, depending on what is needed, but there should only be one link listed per promo. An example of an external link would be using Find a Class when you promote registration for an upcoming term.

  • Set the Display Date, which controls when the feature will display on the homepage

If you would like the promo to appear indefinitely, set the second date to well into the future. Otherwise, you can set the end date as needed and the promo will no longer appear on the homepage after that date.

  • The Weight dictates the order your promo will appear in the carousel (a lower weight means the feature will appear first in the order of promos.)

  • You can leave the “Generate automatic URL alias” box checked

  • When your promo is ready to save, click the Save button
