Header: Top Menu (Utility)

The Top Menu (or utility bar) menu for global links. On desktop it the first element and on mobile its the last menu element.

Creating Utility Menu Links

To add a menu item to your utility bar, complete the following steps:

In the admin menu, click Structure > Menus > Utility bar
Select Add Link
Provide a Menu Link Title

The Title you provide here will display in the main menu as-is.

In the Link field, enter the URL for the page you want to link

If linking internally to your college’s Drupal site, the path should be url/child-page/etc (do not include https://drupal.maricopa.edu/, for example).

Attributes (expand the Attributes accordion):
- If you need the link to open in a new window, set the Target to New window (_blank)
- To make this link ‘look like’ a button, select a class.

Selecting the same color as your utility bar color will not produce anything, as color are the same.

[Optional] In the Description field, enter a description that tells where the link goes. This is the text that appears when visitors place the cursor over the link
Click Save
In the Main navigation list of links, reorder your link using
Click Save again once reordered
