The District Site uses roles to manage site access as opposed to individual permissions. Below is a high-level overview of the roles available on District. There is also a detailed list of District roles and permissions.

For questions about access or to request additional training, contact the ITS Web Team via Slack or ITS.Drupal.Team@domail.maricopa.edu.

For access requests, have your site owner submit a District Website Access Request to get you added.


General Roles

There are 3 general roles on the District Website. Your access is determined by your role within MCCCD and your level of training with the ITS Web Team.

Access

Content Editor

  • Performs basic functions such as creating new content and editing own content.

  • Ability to use the Basic HTML text format.

  • View scheduled content

  • View webform submissions

Low-level access. Default role for people outside of Marketing and IT. Reports to Content Manager.

Content Manager

  • Ability to edit any content on most content types.

  • Ability to use both Full and Basic HTML text format.

  • Schedule content publication

  • Revert revisions

  • View and edit webform submissions.

Mid-level access. Reviews changes from editors and modifies existing content.

Content Admin

  • Ability to manage all content including creating, editing, and deleting.

  • Able to administer blocks, menus, and taxonomy.

  • Create/edit URL aliases

High-level access. Administrative power of all content from anyone and everyone.
