Basic Pages allow you to build rich and robust web content. There are several layout options available (called paragraph bundles) to help you create interactive and responsive webpages. This content type is generally used to create largely static content designed to be part of a broader section with navigation.

Creating a Basic Page

  • Go to Content > Add Content > Basic Page

  • Give your Basic Page a Title

  • Assign the Basic Page to a Section

The Section is related to an already-established taxonomy term.

Hero Image

  • To add a hero image (and replace the banner image if it exists), use the Add Hero Button

  • Under Image, choose an image from your computer and Upload

For the best results, size and crop your image before uploading.

5 MB upload limit.

Allowed types: png gif jpg jpeg.

Images must be larger than 1600 x 400 pixels.

  • Enter an optional heading for the Hero in the Heading field. Keep the heading brief for best results.

  • Enter an optional sub-heading for the Hero in the Sub heading field. This is the smaller text that displays beneath the Heading.

  • In the Button (CTA) section, provide a button URL and Link Text

The Link text displays on the Button and is the call-to-action for this hero banner. The URL defines the page link.

Paragraph Builder

– Use the Paragraph Builder to add paragraphs to the page. Included options listed below:

Finish

  • If a custom URL is desired, select the URL Alias panel on the right, and deselect the Generate automatic URL alias. This will allow you to manually enter a custom path for the page in the URL Alias input field. Note, for best results it is recommended to leave Generate automatic URL alias selected.

To make the page the Section front page, check the Section front page checkbox in the URL Alias dropdown.

  • Click Save
