The Location content type is a page that provides functionality for campus nodes. Features include Google map embed, contact fields, map file links, and custom accordions.


Instructions

Building a Location Page

  • Go to Content > Create Content > Location

  • Enter a title.

  • Select a Location type. You can edit options for this field in the taxonomy (described below).

  • Description, Address, Phone, Fax are optional

  • Banner image is optional. Image size must be 1600x225 pixels.

  • Map embed src is also optional. Enter only the URL (src attribute) for the embed code.

  • Maps field is a list of links contained in an accordion style container. You can upload files separately and link to them in this field with the URL.

  • Hours field another accordion formatted field.

  • Accordions can be any custom fields matching the Maps and Hours accordions.

  • Add the menu item in Menu settings. Check “Provide a menu link”. Enter a Menu link title and Description for the menu item. Select the parent item this node will appear or leave “<Locations>” selected for a root level menu link.

 Adding/editing Location type options

  • Go to Structure > Taxonomy > Location Types

  • Use the “+ Add term” link to add options. Provide only the Name field for the new option.

  • Click the “edit” link for the Location Type term listed to update and existing term.
