Your college’s homepage is usually the first page new visitors see when they come to your website, so it is important to make it visually appealing as well as informative about the main goals of your site (e.g. Admissions, Community Engagement, etc.).
There are several content types that work together to populate the homepage. While there are many things you can do to customize this page, this article will provide general guidelines to ensure consistency between college sites on the Common Framework.

Instructions
Frontpage Feature
These are the large banner images in the carousel beneath the main menu of your site. You can add as many of these as you like (though, generally, no more than five are recommended), and you can set their start and end dates.
Frontpage Promo
These are smaller promotional items that are often used to get users to key sections of your site (such as Degrees and Certificates). You should have three of these at a time, and, like Features, you can set their start and end dates.
Landing Page Elements
Your homepage is also built using Landing Page elements. These elements have enhanced functionality to help you build beautiful web content.
